Из альбома: My Fair February Notable Shimmer & Grin

Fighting the drone of a world in rapture with a soul on paper, and chasing silly lovers down the lane.

Hiding from the rain,

That weeps over the lonely meadows and your bashful windows; dark against the perrywinkle panes.

I am not obliged,

To take a breath and notice your world. And you're such a sad girl. Julietta, wouldn't you agree?

I was seventeen,

And curled up inside my sadness. And every child's madness is a seed of love that never saw the sun.

Oh god, what have they done?

Misunderstanding you as such because you loved her too much. And your tired hands had given up on words.

This enchanted verse,

Etched upon the sky for always.

Where the butterfly plays. So radiant, the light touching her hair.

I would meet you there,

And tell you I am not ashamed to wish that I knew you so that I could just look in your eyes.

To see the way they shined,

Maybe subtle and maybe brilliant.

At the least, resilient.

Maybe that was what they feared the most...

People talk like they dont ever falter. And they muddle up the air with why everyone should pay attention. But everyone is only guessing. And I know I'm not any different.

And I don't want to be a hero. But if we shared one voice, we might tell them that they should be careful.

That an open heart is so fragile.

If you shout at the candle then the light goes out. It leaves you all alone and in the dark and we need you to see us.

'Cause we're trying our best to keep smiling; and we're trying our best just to be understood.

I'll hold you up because we both know sometimes we just can't seem to control it.

Then the burden will seem a bit lighter. And the sun will seem a bit brighter. And maybe it all could be different.

Yeah, maybe it could have been different.
