There's a diamond up in my head and it glistens like fire red,
is it fire or just coals? well I don't really know
I've got reason to question it cause this jewel is hard to pin
It's like a blanket in the cold, but the fires hard to hold
I realize, fate and technicalities often arise
Like we were never born but we still got a life
We didn't write the book but we still own the rights
Its part of life
I can barely see to the stars cause this night air is clear as fog
my fires dying slow, diamonds are hard to grow
light billows, black clouds,
black coal add a little pressure build it slow
I become whole
I realize, after all we have given, we got it all
If only we could learn instead of losing sight
You may not understand but it's a part of life
Its part of life
