think of all the damage we've done
fading in and out of misery
nobody asked you if you felt alright
think of the hands you've graced with
undeserving time you gave away
nobody asked me if i felt ok
and one more time i stare the radio down
it's not waiting there for me to make a sound
and i read anything from you under my skin
thick or thin

and i must confess i've said this all before
but this intermission is making it seem like so much more

remember how you used to listen
hanging on my words till they would snap
didn't you ask me here if i'd take you back
i got used to hiding under the veil of memories we made
i couldn't ask you if it felt ok
and i tried hard enough for my first time around
and you'd be waiting in the car to bring me down
and i read everything from you under my skin
one last time

and i must confess i've said this all before
but this intermission is making it seem like so much more

think of all the damage we've done
fading in and out of misery
nobody asked me if i felt alright
